MS-DOS 2.0 COMMAND.COM

MS-DOS 2.0 came out in 1983 and brought directories, file handles and the shell most people remember. Microsoft released its source under the MIT licence. This page runs MS-DOS 2.0's own COMMAND.COM and its utilities EDLIN, DEBUG, FIND, MORE, SORT and FC, assembled from that source and translated to C and WebAssembly.

Type command on Volkov Commander's command line to get the MS-DOS 2.0 prompt. DIR, TYPE, COPY, ECHO and .BAT files work. EXIT brings back Volkov Commander's panels. In the browser, Volkov Commander also runs the commands you type through this COMMAND.COM.
